Like most people in America, you probably drive your car everyday whether your going 5 miles or 50 miles. Which causes immediate and long-term effects on the environment. Car exhausts emit a wide range of gases and solid matter, causing global warming, acid rain, and harming the environment and human health! Why harm the planet we live on when you can easily and enjoyable start making a HUGE difference on your carbon footprint?

Let’s talk Facts: Time To Ditch The Vehicle

  • Energy Efficient-Electric bikes consume fuel at an average rate of 100-150 watts of electric energy, compared to the 15,000 watts an electric car consumes. Now, Imagine a closet light that you forgot to turn off through the night- That's enough energy to propel your electric bike for 40 miles!
  • Cost Efficient- An electric bike typically costs half a cent to run per mile, while a car can cost up to $0.75 per mile. That's a 15,000% increase in cost that your paying for your vehicle and increasing with always rising gas prices. Oh and did I forget to mention you still need to add on insurance, repairs, parking, tickets, car washes..
  • Green-According toNational Geographic, motor vehicles produce more than 30% of carbon dioxide, 80% of the carbon monoxide, and 50% of the nitrogen oxide emissions each year in the US. Trust me, im just as in shock as you are after learning this. Much of this pollution is produced by commuters making short trips from home to work and back, and switching to an electric bicycle for these commutes cuts down on a huge amount of harmful emissions and fossil fuel usage. (& drastically increases your performance.. but we will cover that in another post!)

We are all aware that we are harming the environment & our selves by driving a vehicle that causes nothing but headaches and frustration. Why be frustrated at the increase of gas & insurance prices, or even worse be having a panic attack while driving in the crazy traffic! Many forget, but right along many of the roads we ride is a beautiful empty sidewalk that you could be zipping along on your awesome ebike, going 20 mph past the traffic all while taking in some fresh air & enjoying the beauty around you?

I have Parkinson’s disease and use a cane to walk, tough to get around. I can’t drive anymore and having one of these E-Bikes would bring back my use of getting around than being home. I live in a private community with flat roads which would be a relief.
I was wondering if Medicare would except any or all the costs.
A great way to get around, we were just in Disney in Florida and I used a electric cart there for a week, fantastic!
